RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE GROWTH RATES OF THE DOMESTIC FOOD AND PROCESSING INDUSTRY AND TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STATE MONETARY POLICY

Abstract

The article reveals the specifics of the functioning of the food and processing industries in Russia, justifying the relationship between the growth rate of the industry and the dynamics of certain macroeconomic indicators, in particular, the key rate of the Central Bank. The article analyzes the situation in the sphere of crediting both, in General, agricultural enterprises and enterprises of the food and processing industry. It is confirmed that it is impossible to directly influence the growth rates of processing industries only by market methods. The expediency of state support for food production in the form of concessional lending and subsidies, as well as the need for additional elaboration of criteria for the distribution of state funds, both between regions and from the point of view of targeted support for individual producers, is proved. In order to increase the competitiveness of the food and processing industry in Russia, the need for the combined use of measures to support the food industry from the state with market mechanisms of influence on the country's economy is justified.
