WORLD CHANGES IN FOOD BEHAVIOR PATTERNS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF RUSSIA)

Abstract

This article presents the results of a study of patterns of food behavior among young people on the territory of the Russian Federation. The purpose of the work is to assess the factors that cause the formation and change of patterns of food behavior of students in Russia. The key global trends characterizing modern shifts in food behavior patterns in developed countries are presented and it is noted that consumers are becoming more attentive and demanding to food products. Based on the database obtained during the survey of students, the main characteristics of the behavior of young people as consumers are analyzed and highlighted. It is noted that, along with traditional factors, in particular price and taste characteristics, the quality and benefits of food are becoming important parameters when choosing and buying. Based on the results of the analysis, proposals were formulated for the further development of the strategies of food companies and the introduction of government measures to strengthen global trends at the national level.
