URBAN PLANNING IN A SMART CITY

Abstract

The article presents the results of research where smart cities are an innovative concept in the urban planning field. Smart Cities should shape the eco–friendly future of the region and establish economic growth with a fundamental feature - the use of intelligent information processing systems to ensure a stable connection between man and knowledge. The main distinguishing feature of smart cities is the presence of a long–term sustainable development strategy. Sustainable development management is currently a priority task, which is presented in international standards and territorial planning documents.
