HISTORICAL AND ECONOMIC EVOLUTION OF THE WORLD MEAT MARKET: KEY FACTORS IN THE FORMATION OF THE INDUSTRY
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the processes that shape the global meat market, which is an integral part of the global food system and a key driver of economic development. The evolution of the industry is traced from the ancient stages of animal domestication to the modern challenges arising from changes in consumer preferences, technological innovations, environmental constraints, and political-regulatory measures. An interdisciplinary approach is employed, integrating historical and economic analysis with modern methodological tools such as econometric modeling and simulation forecasting. These methods not only reveal the interrelationships among key determinants but also enable the simulation of various scenarios for the future development of the meat market in the context of global changes. The novelty of the study lies in the integration of traditional historical approaches with contemporary analytical tools, which facilitates a more accurate assessment of the impact of economic, technological, environmental, and political factors on the dynamics of the industry.
The results obtained have significant practical implications for the formulation of strategic recommendations aimed at enhancing the resilience and competitiveness of the meat industry at both national and international levels.
