Abstract

In the coming decades, the climate agenda will be one of the defining ones for political, economic and social interaction both within countries and for international cooperation. The climate agenda provides for reducing the pace of global warming and reducing social, economic and environmental damage. The main goal of the countries' climate strategies is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase carbon storage, which is achieved through the restoration of the planet's biosphere. The most important component of the biosphere is soils that ensure the food security of mankind and provide regulatory ecosystem services, including atmospheric carbon sequestration and contribution to climate regulation at the global and regional levels. Soils represent the national wealth and the key to the well-being of today and future generations. The soil layer is recovering extremely slowly, and in this regard, today it is necessary to raise the status of this natural heritage at the state level and develop a roadmap for the preservation and restoration of soil health.
