Abstract

In March 2022, one of the largest Russian publishing houses publishing literature for universities published a new textbook “Rationing and Reducing Environmental Pollution”. The book is intended primarily for undergraduate students in the direction 05.03.06 "Ecology and nature management" and related areas. The first edition, published in 2014, was the first textbook on this most important professional discipline of higher environmental education. The textbook was developed in accordance with the program recommended by the UMO for classical university education (educational and methodological council on ecology and sustainable development), the authors of which are also prof. A.P. Khaustov and Assoc. MM. Redina. The new book is already the third edition of the textbook; this testifies to the demand and popularity, as well as the fact that it is used in 101 Russian universities as the main textbook.
