Abstract

       The relevance of the research topic of this article lies in the fact that the intensive development of agricultural resources gives rise to the need not only to protect the environment and wildlife, but also to obtain safe food. The quality of agricultural products depends not only on the environment, but also on the producers of these products, which do not always supply good quality products to the market. Agricultural enterprises play an important role in the production of quality products. In this article, food products that are included in the diet of the consumer basket of the population as main products are studied. These include dairy and meat products, fish products, confectionery and vegetables. The purpose of the study of this article is to study the consumer preferences of the population of the region and the quality of products supplied to the markets of the Sverdlovsk region. The objectives of the study are to analyze the quality of food products and identify unscrupulous regional suppliers supplying their products to the regional market. The article uses the following research methods: methods of analysis and synthesis are used by the authors to compare the quality of products from different suppliers. The method of expert assessments is used when studying the documentation of Rospotrebnadzor for the Sverdlovsk region. The results of the study reveal the facts of violation of agricultural production by regional producers. In the conclusions, the authors show an analysis of the quality of products manufactured in the Sverdlovsk region and an assessment of consumer preferences by the inhabitants of the region. The analysis of food security and food self-sufficiency of the region is given.
