COUNTERING CERTAIN TYPES OF ECONOMIC CRIMES IN THE SPHERE OF ELECTRIC POWER INDUSTRY ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Abstract

 The article considers the legal and organizational and tactical features of countering economic crimes in the field of electric power industry, which as a branch of the economy is a complex complex of economic relations that provides society with electric energy through its production (generation), transportation and supply to consumers. It is the basis for the development of basic industries and agricultural industries.

The considered direction of the national economy at the current moment has not yet formed an effective mechanism for its long-term development and is in search of an optimal functioning model. This is due to the current sanctions of Western states restricting its access to global capital markets and the lack of effective domestic mechanisms for attracting private investment, as well as a decrease in domestic demand for electricity and a decrease in export volumes.

The main share of the number of registered crimes in the field of production, transmission and distribution of electricity is crimes against property. The article suggests at the level of security departments, in order to increase the effectiveness of countering the facts of unaccounted and non-contractual electricity consumption, as well as countering corruption manifestations on the part of employees of grid companies, in the subdivisions of the security unit of PJSC ROSSETI, the creation of inspection control groups whose employees perform the following functions: carrying out instrumental checks of actual power supply schemes of consumers and measuring complexes of commercial electricity metering at substations and in distribution networks of the Company at all voltage levels; detection of malfunctions of electric energy metering devices; identification of corruption manifestations, abuse of official powers, abuse of official powers by officials and employees, etc.
