Abstract

Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy of many countries. It ensures the food safety of the population and creates jobs for hundreds of thousands of people. However, effective management of agricultural land has become a serious problem in recent decades.


One of the main aspects of agricultural land management is their monitoring. Monitoring of agricultural land allows you to determine the state of soil, vegetation, water resources and other factors affecting the production capabilities of the land. However, such monitoring faces various challenges, such as limited funding and difficult access to data.


In this article, we will consider the main problems and challenges associated with monitoring agricultural land, as well as the prospects for the development of this area. The key directions in the development of the monitoring and management system of agricultural lands will be identified. The analysis of the results of monitoring of agricultural lands is presented, based on the actual results of monitoring over the past year in the Russian Federation and the Sverdlovsk region.
